"Polish Avant-garde in Berlin" edited by dr. Małgorzata Stolarska-Froni has been published after the 100th anniversary of the Polish avant-garde celebrated in 2017. In December 2017 at the Center for Historical Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences an international conference entitled Polish Avant-garde in Berlin / Polnische Avant-garde in Berlin took place, and the result is the following publication.

The book presents the historical panorama of the Polish avant-garde in Berlin from the nineteenth-century avant-garde to modern art. Looking at specific artistic strategies and the development of the modernist paradigm both before and after World War II, from a migration experience perspective, this volume offers a deeper insight into the mechanisms, relationships and identity programs of individual artists and groups. It also reveals the dynamics of possible cultural exchanges or alternative forms of artistic transformation, as well as the impact of Polish artists on the Berlin art scene.
